Thank you to everyone who attended the memorial service/ life celebration. It was an amazing turn out. Jim's mom was an absolutely amazing woman and her love touched som many lives as the number of attendees, cards, and phone calls showed. Thank you all so much for all of your support.
It is hard to get back to normal and go through the daily life motions after losing someone so close to you. We have been gone from our home for a little over two weeks and are so overwhelmed with what we need/should be doing. Not to mention trying to reestablish normalcy in our one year olds life. We are truly blessed and thankful to have such a great support system.
When we got home last night, it was after 1:00am. It was at that time we noticed our lawn had been mowed and cared for by our wonderful neighbors. My mom had cleaned our house and bought us new sheets/bed spread...partially because she couldnt find any of our spare bed linens. All of these meaningful tasks done with out being asked...just out of love. We have several dinner dates/offers that we will be benefitting from as well in the up and coming week. We are looking forward to home cooked meals as we have eaten fast food or restaurant food for EVERY meal since we left...that is not only expensive, but tiresome! I just cant express enough how grateful we are for everything everyone has done or is doing for us. You are all so wonderful and hopefully we will be able to thank you all personally as time progresses.
I will post again soon with some recent photos of Alana. Over the past two weeks her vocabualry blossomed to over 50 words. She is so amazing, smart, fun, energetic, and just plain perfect. Without our little angel, this past week would have been tremendously more difficult. Although, with her...it was definitly interesting! Thank you to all of her aunts and uncles for playing pass the baby every night at dinner. :-)
